FILM NOIR

FILM NOIR

A movie characterized by low-key lighting, a bleak urban setting, and corrupt, cynical characters. Usually they make the film at night to get the natural lighting and better shadow.

This is pretty much the settings at a scene. They have the microphone, low-key lighting and camera that can move around but its stable.

The lights from the back, it produce shadows. Everything is dark, you only can see the lights and shadows.

The lights from the right, the curtain blinds's shadow reflect on that man's face.

The lights from the left of the man. The shadows reflect on the wall. You can see the stair handrail and half of the man's shadows on the wall.

The lights from the back and only half of the lady's face covered with lights. As you can see, the lady's face a bit blur because it only focus on the smoke.

Both lights come from left and right but its a bit at the back. The camera focus on the lady with the guns and make it dark for the man back there. They use a lot of smoke too in this scene to make it more like WOW.
